What is HoraMundial.net?
HoraMundial.net is a free world clock that shows the exact time where you are and in any country or city on the planet. When you open it, the page detects your device time zone and compares its clock with our server to tell you whether it is fast or slow.
Every country and city has its own page with the current time, the date, the official time zone, the UTC offset, whether daylight saving time applies and when the next clock change will be, plus sunrise and sunset times and the time difference from your location.
All calculations are based on the IANA time zone database, the international reference used by operating systems, mobile phones and Internet servers, so every country’s clock changes are taken into account automatically.
How to use the clock
- Check the time: the large clock updates itself every second and also shows the date and the time zone.
- Find any place: type the name of a city or a country in the search box at the top and pick a result.
- Compare times: “Difference from your time” tells you how many hours apart the place is from your current time zone.
- Customize the view: choose the 12- or 24-hour format and whether to show seconds. Your choice, like normal or dark mode, is saved in your browser.
- Build your world clock: on the home page you can add or remove cities from your list; it will be remembered next time.
- Share the result with the Facebook, WhatsApp, X or Telegram buttons, or copy the link.
Time basics
UTC and GMT
Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is the worldwide reference from which all local times are calculated. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) is in practice equivalent to UTC±0. For example, UTC+1 means one hour ahead of UTC.
Time zone
A region that shares the same official time. Many zones do not follow meridians exactly: they depend on political decisions, which is why some countries have several zones and offsets of half an hour or 45 minutes.
Daylight saving time
Some countries move their clocks forward one hour in spring and back in autumn to make better use of daylight. The dates vary from country to country, and many places do not observe it at all.
Time difference
The difference between the UTC offsets of two places. It can change during the year when one place observes daylight saving time and the other does not, or when they change on different dates.
